Our local soldiers in Afghanistan, including those of the 334th Brigade Support Batallion of Iowa Falls, will not
be able to be home for Christmas this year. So let's send a little bit of home to them!
This year's (2010) MAC Christmas project, Stockings for Soldiers, is something we can all get involved in. If you'd like to bless a deployed soldier this Christmas, visit the soldier tree in the church foyer alcove during the month of November. Grab a stocking - each stocking represents a local deployed soldier. We'd like to be able to send something to each solder as a way of saying thank you and we care about you. Write a letter, send a Christmas card -- even a gift! The Soldiers' Wish list will be posted by the tree. Then bring it all back to the church by December 5th so it can all be shipped together and arrive in Afghanistan by Christmas. Or you may also donate towards shipping costs. Let's bless those who sacrifice for our freedom!
